Copenhagen Capacity is a not-for-profit marketing and business development foundation financed by public organisations as well as private companies.

What does Copenhagen Capacity do? Copenhagen Capacity attracts international companies, investment, and professional talent to ensure continuous, sustainable growth in Denmark and in the Greater Copenhagen Region.

We use Copenhagen’s strong international brand, Eastern Denmark’s unique business strengths, and Denmark’s attractive business climate to attract knowledge and resources from around the world.

The goal is to create sustainable changes that help the country tackle its most significant societal challenges.

Is Copenhagen Capacity a government agency?

No. Copenhagen Capacity is a not-for-profit marketing and business development foundation financed by public organisations as well as private companies.

How to register a company in Denmark? It is a very simple process, it is free, and can be done in minutes online. However, for foreign companies, it is often advised to use a local service provider. At Copenhagen Capacity, we do not handle registrations directly, but we connect you with the right authorities and service providers, as well as provide you with all the necessary information and guide you through the process.

Anyone with strong ties to Denmark and a relevant network can apply or be nominated.

What do the Goodwill Ambassadors do?

They promote Denmark’s brand globally through their network, events, and annual gatherings in Copenhagen and assist Copenhagen Capacity in opening doors to local stakeholders in their respective countries.

Does Copenhagen Capacity help with work visas or permits?

While we try our best to guide companies and internationals through the relocation process, we do not offer specific help with visas. For official visa information, please visit nyidanmark.dk or um.dk.

Does Denmark have very high taxes?

Yes and no. Denmark has a competitive corporate tax rate below the EU and OECD average; it is 22%. The personal income taxes are higher, but for foreign nationals, we offer a favourable expat tax regime. Contact us to learn more.
