Attracting international candidates through the A State of Denmark job portal

Purpose: The purpose and effect of the project is to strengthen Danish companies' access to qualified international labor by increasing the visibility of Denmark as a career destination, and ensuring better national coordination between relevant actors. The effort is based on the "A State of Denmark Job Portal", which will function as a single digital entry point for international candidates and Danish companies.
Background: Danish companies are increasingly experiencing challenges in recruiting qualified workers. This applies across sectors and geography, and the challenge is expected to grow in the coming years. At the same time, there is great potential internationally to attract qualified candidates, but Denmark lacks a clear, unified and easily accessible entry point to information about job opportunities and career paths.
Short description: The project addresses this challenge by strengthening the visibility of Denmark as a career destination and by creating better national coordination between existing regional talent initiatives. The project is based on the A State of Denmark platform, which functions as a single information and contact point for international candidates and companies.
Duration: January 2026 – December 2026
Partners: The project is funded by The Danish Board of Business Development, and part of "Virksomhedsudvikling Danmark". Copenhagen Capacity will lead the project in collaboration with Erhverv Aarhus and Work-Live-Stay.
