New campaign aims to make Americans discover job satisfaction and life quality in the Greater Copenhagen Region
Nov 12, 2025 With support from the City of Copenhagen, Copenhagen Capacity is launching a campaign that focuses on job satisfaction, balance, and quality of life in the Greater Copenhagen Region. The campaign’s goal is to create awareness among and attract highly skilled people from the US, and to showcase the many attributes of Danish working life, encouraging them to move here to work.
Copenhagen Capacity has launched “The Friend Recruiter Program,” a new campaign aimed at inspiring people to explore career opportunities in the Greater Copenhagen Region.
The campaign invites people to help their friends find a new job and a new life here. By signing up for the program, you can nominate a friend you think would thrive in the Greater Copenhagen Region – and get a chance to win a visit to the region.
The initiative, primarily aimed at the American market, highlights the values that characterise Danish work culture – including flexibility and trust, flat management structures, and a healthy work-life balance.
Mayor for Employment and Integration in Copenhagen, Jens-Kristian Lütken (V), is pleased with the initiative:

“We know that Americans often thrive in Copenhagen and Denmark. They appreciate the values that characterize our everyday lives – community, trust, and a high quality of life. We want to give more people the opportunity to experience what it’s like to work in a country where well-being and productivity go hand in hand,” says Asbjørn Overgaard, CEO of Copenhagen Capacity.
With a 37-hour workweek, five to six weeks of vacation, and a well-functioning labor market, there is much to gain for those seeking a balanced and fulfilling work-life balance.
Mayor for Employment and Integration in Copenhagen, Jens-Kristian Lütken (V), is pleased with the initiative:
"Americans are renowned worldwide for their innovation, entrepreneurship, and unwavering belief that anything is possible. We welcome that in Copenhagen. In Copenhagen, we can offer American talents a modern and open-minded metropolis, with excellent daycare centers and schools, clean air, a harbor where you can swim, and a safe base that accommodates both career and family life. I hope that with the campaign we can inspire more American talents within, for example, tech, green transition, and life science to relocate to Copenhagen."
