WindEurope Annual Event returns to Copenhagen in 2027

Copenhagen will once again take centre stage in the global wind industry when WindEurope Annual Event returns to the Danish capital in April 2027. It’s a strong endorsement of the region’s role as a global hub for green energy – and a unique opportunity to strengthen partnerships, attract foreign investment and talent, to accelerate the green transition together with leading international players.

For the eighth time, Copenhagen will host one of the world’s largest and most influential events for the wind sector, when WindEurope Annual Event takes place on 20–22 April 2027. The event is expected to attract more than 16,000 participants from across the globe, including ministers, CEOs, investors and decision-makers from the entire wind and energy value chain.

A strong international endorsement of Copenhagen

For Copenhagen Capacity, the return of the WindEurope Annual Event is more than just a prestigious event booking. It is a clear signal that Copenhagen and Denmark continue to be recognised internationally as frontrunners within green energy, innovation and large-scale collaboration.

“The return of the WindEurope Annual Event to Copenhagen in 2027 is a strong international endorsement of our capital as a global hub for green energy and innovation. The event brings together decision-makers, companies, and investors from around the world and provides a unique platform to strengthen partnerships, attract investment and talent, and accelerate the green transition. For Copenhagen and Denmark, it is an opportunity to show how our ecosystem continues to translate ambitions into concrete solutions on a large scale.”
- says Asbjørn Overgaard, CEO of Copenhagen Capacity.

A global meeting place for business, innovation and collaboration

WindEurope Annual Event is organised by the European wind energy association WindEurope, which represents the entire industry – from turbine manufacturers and energy companies to developers, researchers and financial institutions. According to WindEurope, the annual conference is designed to create the right conditions for the industry to meet, do business at scale and build strong, meaningful partnerships.

Although rooted in wind energy, the event reaches far beyond the sector itself. Topics such as electrification, grid development, innovation, and energy markets make the conference highly relevant to a broad range of companies and professionals within the green transition.

We are delighted to be able to bring the WindEurope Annual Event back to Copenhagen. WindEurope's annual conferences are about creating the right framework for the industry to come together, do business at scale, and build strong, meaningful partnerships. With its strong green industry, its experience in hosting major international events and its clear commitment to the green transition, Copenhagen is the ideal place to bring the sector together.
- says Mia Magazin, Head of Events at WindEurope to Green Power Denmark.

Looking ahead to 2027

Green Power Denmark will once again serve as national host and partner for the event. Danish companies are traditionally well represented, including through The Pavilion – Powered by Denmark, which is expected to gather up to 80 Danish companies showcasing solutions and expertise to an international audience.

For Copenhagen Capacity, the WindEurope Annual Event 2027 is an opportunity to connect international companies, investors, and talent with Denmark’s strong ecosystem in renewable energy and the green transition – and to initiate new collaborations that can turn global ambitions into local impact.

Because when the world’s wind industry gathers in Copenhagen, it’s not just about showcasing solutions. It’s about building the partnerships that will power the future.
