Nordic climate-tech company establishes headquarters in Denmark

May 26, 2026 Lensor sets up in Denmark , reinforcing Denmark as a hub for biodiversity innovation.

Lensor is a Nordic climate-tech startup with technology that helps cities and companies integrate biodiversity into urban planning, development, and land management processes. Their product provides high-precision “habitat intelligence” for built environments through a combination of satellite imagery, LiDAR scanning, and AI-powered analysis.

As sustainability requirements and biodiversity reporting become increasingly important across industries, Lensor's technology supports organisations with more accessible, data-driven environmental decision-making.

“Lensor brings innovative technology that can support the transition toward more sustainable and biodiversity-conscious urban development. Their establishment in Denmark further strengthens Greater Copenhagen’s position as an attractive hub for climate-tech and digital innovation,” says Asbjørn Overgaard, CEO at Copenhagen Capacity.

Denmark chosen as strategic base for growth

As demand for biodiversity data and sustainable land management solutions continues to grow, Lensor sees Denmark as an ideal location to support the company’s next phase of expansion.

By establishing its headquarters in Denmark, Lensor becomes part of a strong ecosystem for climate-tech and sustainable urban development, with access to highly skilled talent, a mature digitalised society, collaborative industry networks, funding opportunities, and ambitious sustainability agendas.

“Denmark offers an open and innovative industrial environment, where new ideas are welcomed, tested, and developed. The strong integration of culture, technology, and ambition creates the right conditions for meaningful innovation and long-term growth,” says Diana Caceres, COO at Lensor.

Copenhagen Capacity supported market entry and ecosystem connections

In preparation for its establishment in Denmark, Lensor worked closely with Copenhagen Capacity to better understand the Danish market and identify relevant ecosystem partners.

The support included mapping of sustainability consultants and key stakeholders,  introductions to the BLOXHUB community and connections to Business Hub Copenhagen, cluster organisations, as well as support for Lensor’s selection into the Beyond Beta accelerator programme , and potential funding opportunities.

Copenhagen Capacity also provided guidance on the Danish business landscape and facilitated introductions to relevant service providers, including legal and accounting advisors, to support the company’s market entry process.

With its Danish headquarters now established, Lensor is positioned to expand its collaborations and contribute to the development of more sustainable, biodiversity-conscious built environments across Europe.
