INIA Biosciences establishes a presence Copenhagen

Oct 7, 2025 Innovative bioelectronic medicine company using sound to treat chronic diseases sets up in Copenhagen.

The female-led startup INIA Biosciences has joined Copenhagen’s dynamic life science scene with its innovative bioelectronic medical device, designed to non-invasively modulate the immune system using sound waves.

INIA Biosciences is a bioelectronic medicine company developing a non-invasive device that uses sound waves to modulate the immune system in real time. Based on cutting-edge research, the technology offers a novel approach to managing chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases without the side effects of traditional drugs. With ultrasound-guided targeting and clinician-programmable protocols, INIA’s platform enables precise immune regulation tailored to each patient. The company aims to transform treatment paradigms by making immune therapy safer, more accessible, and patient-centred.

“Copenhagen is rapidly becoming a leading international hub for life science innovation, and the arrival of INIA Biosciences is a testament to that. We’re excited to support visionary companies like INIA in finding the right partners, programmes, and conditions to grow and scale globally from here,” said Asbjørn Overgaard, CEO of Copenhagen Capacity.

The Venture Lab programme at the BioInnovation Institute offers early-stage, science-based startups a 12-month incubation period with tailored business development support, expert mentoring, and the opportunity for funding to help transform innovative ideas into impactful life science ventures.

Copenhagen Capacity assisted INIA Biosciences in gaining acceptance to the BioInnovation Institute’s Venture Lab and in navigating Danish framework conditions and key ecosystem relationships.

“CopCap’s support was pivotal to our Denmark launch. It translated into direct financial impact for the company and freed us to focus on building the technology,” said Dragana Savic, CEO of INIA Biosciences. The support continues after the company’s establishment in Denmark.
