Copenhagen Capacity wins the Best Communication Strategy at City Nation Place Global Awards

Nov 7, 2025 Copenhagen Capacity’s and the Science Hub Denmark project’s branding campaign: “Shape the Future of Your Research” is recognised in London for its excellent communications strategy.

Global research talent attracted with award-winning storytelling

Competing with entries from 28 countries, Copenhagen Capacity has won an award for ‘Best Communication Strategy - Economic Development’ at City Nation Place Global 2025 in London for the international talent attraction and place branding campaign “Shape the future of your research.”

The winning campaign invites world-class researchers to build their careers and their lives in Denmark by showcasing the country’s cutting-edge research environment, deep societal impact, and good quality of life.

By uniting universities, industry, and government partners, the project aims to position Denmark as “the place where world-class science meets world-class living.” Breaking away from traditional academic messaging, the campaign delivers a distinctive, emotionally driven narrative, resulting in a compelling approach to attracting international research talent.

“Copenhagen Capacity continues to be a world-leader in impactful economic development communications campaigns. The team’s commitment to collaboration is delivering best-in-class place marketing campaigns that ensure that Denmark will be at the forefront of talent attraction for years to come," stated Clare Dewhirst, Director of City Nation Place.

Reached project KPIs in just two weeks

The “Shape the Future of Your Research” campaign is part of the project: Science Hub Denmark, a three-year initiative designed to boost global awareness of Denmark’s excellent research community and career opportunities within within Biosolutions, Neuroscience, Power-to-X, and Quantum at Danish universities.

The, now internationally awarded, campaign outperformed the project’squarterly KPIs within just two weeks, demonstrating a rapid and strategic response to the shifting global landscape for academic researchers.

The Science Hub Denmark project, led by Copenhagen Capacity and funded by Novo Nordisk Foundation, Villum Fonden, and Lundbeckfonden, will continue to run targeted international campaigns that strengthen Denmark’s position as an exceptional place to live a great and balanced life, while also conducting world-class research.

Because attracting researchers isn’t just about filling positions, it’s about fueling breakthroughs, pushing global innovation forward, and showing the world that Denmark is where ambitious science and an exceptional quality of life go hand in hand.
