The Best Countries rankings by US News evaluate 80 countries across 24 rankings drawn from a survey of more than 21,000 global citizens.
Survey participants consider Denmark to be the nation with the most transparent business practices. And by offering reimbursement of losses due to research and development, the tax policy in Denmark promotes innovation.
The ranking also refers to The World Bank who ranked Denmark no. 1 in Europe for ease of doing business in 2012-2017. Moreover, Denmark’s goal to fuel its entire energy supply with renewable sources by 2050 creates a range of investment opportunities.
And for those wishing to expand in Europe and the Baltics, Denmark’s central location offers easy access.

The survey praises Denmark for being safe, politically stable and very family-friendly and for offering a good job market, income equality and a highly well-developed public education system and public healthcare system.

If you are bringing your family, Denmark is the second best country for raising children. Denmark has one of the most generous and flexible parental leave systems in the EU which means that both mothers and fathers are entitled to 23 weeks of parental leave.
Countries perceived to be the ‘Best Countries to Raise Kids’ scored highest in a compilation of eight country attributes: cares about human rights, family friendly, gender equality, happy, income equality, safe, well-developed public education system and well-developed health system.
