CNN rate Copenhagen the world’s best city for swimming

Copenhagen’s many opportunities for cooling down on a warm summer day has now landed the city the rating as the World’s best city for swimming

On a warm summer day in London, you might not be inclined to jump in the Thames for a quick swim. In Copenhagen, however, the city has gone through great efforts to clean entire harbors to the extent that you can actually swim surrounded by modern architecture and city life in Downtown Copenhagen.

Copenhagen’s many opportunities for cooling down on a warm summer day has now landed the city the rating as the World’s best city for swimming by CNN. Copenhagen, thereby, surpass popular destinations such as Copacabana and Bondi Beach.

CNN both recommend going to Amager Beach Park which is described as an ideal sandy spot for whiling away an afternoon. While CNN also points to the central habour where “daredevils can try out the diving boards while fitness fanatics plow out laps in the clean, cool water”.
