China’s largest provider of software and IT services to the telecommunications industry, AsiaInfo, is hiring 30 international software developers to support the company’s activities in Denmark.
In November 2013, AsiaInfo secured its first major business support system (BSS) contract with a top tier European operator group in a deal with Telenor for a BSS transformation project at its Danish unit.
Telenor is one of the big five telecoms groups in Europe, and the new software platform will improve Telenor Denmark’s customer experience, handling everything from online customer support solutions to internal systems. And the collaboration is highly successful; AsiaInfo and Telenor Denmark won the 2016 Glotel Award for ‘BSS Transformation Excellence’.
Relocating from Asia
AsiaInfo has now expanded its activities in Denmark, requiring increased manpower. Copenhagen Capacity helped AsiaInfo employ the 30 new international IT experts needed, many of these relocating from Asia, in order to fulfill the contract with Telenor Denmark.
“It was no easy job to find 30 software developers and it specialists in such a short time, and we truky appreciate Copenhagen Capacity’s assistance. We now have a fantastic team targeting on implementing the new platform in Denmark”, says Jie Zheng, Manager EMEA, AsiaInfo.
Fast-track talent attraction
Some of the open vacancies were filled by international talents living in Denmark, using Copenhagen Capacity’s talent database. The database is a fast-track service for Danish-based companies, providing access to high-skilled international professionals in a number of specialist areas.
Software experts, relocating from AsiaInfo back offices in China and Asia Pacific, filled the remaining vacancies. To sway employees to take a job in Denmark and move to a new city and culture, AsiaInfo used Copenhagen Capacity’s branding toolbox to tell about living and working in one of the greenest, cleanest, smartest and most happy countries in the world.
“It is a core service at Copenhagen Capacity to help foreign companies in Greater Copenhagen grow their business here.
