Nordic Life Science Days moves to Greater Copenhagen

Scandinavia’s largest life science partnering conference is to be held in Medicon Valley, Greater Copenhagen, for the first time.

In 2017, the Nordic region’s largest conference for the international life science industry, Nordic Life Science Days (NLSDays), will be held in Malmö and Copenhagen.

The conference has previously exclusively been held in Stockholm and attracts more than 1,000 participants from 30 countries.

“Hosting an international conference of this size in Copenhagen and Malmö is a great opportunity to promote the many business opportunities within life sciences which Greater Copenhagen, and Medicon Valley in particular, offers international companies, investors and talent. It is also proves that Greater Copenhagen with its four million inhabitants in Eastern Denmark and Southern Sweden is a strong metropole and a highly competitive alternative to most other major cities in Northern Europe”, says Claus Lønborg, CEO, Copenhagen Capacity.

More than 1,000 life science companies and investors

In 2015, the partnering meetings resulted in over 500 licensing opportunities. More than 1,000 participants have already registered for this year’s event including some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies such as Abbvie, AstraZeneca, Bayer, Boehringer Ingelheim, J&J, MSD and Sanofi as well as international investors.

“By placing NLSDays in Medicon Valley we can market the conference to the many small and medium-sized Danish and Southern Swedish life science companies. This will strengthen the professional partnering meetings that take place during NLSDays and are a prerequisite for new long-lasting and fruitful relationships”, says Petter Hartman, CEO, Medicon Valley Alliance.
