Copenhagen to host global ICANN Internet conference

In 2017, the annual ICANN Internet Conference will take place in Copenhagen where more than 2,000 leading members of the Internet community will meet.

In March 2017, Copenhagen will host the annual ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) Global Conference. 

More than 2,000 of the world’s leading Internet stakeholders will meet to discuss Internet governance in the future. The conference will be organised by the Danish Business Authority, Danish Internet Forum and Wonderful Copenhagen.

Domain names and IP addresses

ICANN is an international non-profit organisation based in the United States. It is responsible for the overall management of the Internet such as handling the administration of domain names and IP addresses globally. 

ICANN is a multi-stakeholder organisation, and decisions are made by the ICANN Board based on input from the Internet community represented by the ICANN stakeholder groups and advisory committees. All interested parties may participate in the dialogue on Internet governance.
