The University of Copenhagen jumps up four places in the 2015 Academic Ranking of World Universities.
The world’s 35th best university is located in Denmark, as the University of Copenhagen jumps up four places in the recent 2015 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU).
With the 2015 ranking, the University of Copenhagen occupies the top spot among the universities in the EU when excluding the four British elite universities.
- Aarhus University is the second best Danish university on a 73 space, one place up from last year.
- The Technical University of Denmark is the third best Danish University.
About the Academic Ranking of World Universities
The ARWU employs six indicators to rank the universities, including the number of alumni and staff winning Nobel Prizes and Fields Medals, number of highly cited researchers, number of articles published in journals of Nature and Science, number of articles indexed in Science Citation Index - Expanded and Social Sciences Citation Index, and per capita performance of a university.
