Denmark is the world’s 4th best country

Denmark ranks 4th globally in the 2014 Prosperity Index, having risen two places place since last year. Denmark's best performance is in the Entrepreneurship & Opportunity sub-index, where it ranks 2nd in 2014.

Denmark ranks 4th globally in the 2014 Prosperity Index, having risen two places place since last year. The Prosperity Index is a global measurement of prosperity based on both income and wellbeing. It is the most comprehensive tool of its kind to measure global progress.

Denmark's best performance is in the Entrepreneurship & Opportunity sub-index, where it ranks 2nd in the world. The World Bank recently appointed Denmark the best European country for business in 2015.

In the categories governance, education and social capital, Denmark takes home a third place.

The study, involving 142 countries, is based on eight sub-categories: economy, business opportunities, governance, education, health, safety & security, personal freedom and social capital.
