24 November 2014
Denmark takes a sixth place on the Global Entrepreneurship Index 2015, ranking top on factors such as opportunity start-up, human capital, competition and product innovation.
The Global Entrepreneurship Index (GEI) 2015 ranks Denmark the sixth most entrepreneurial country in the world, only surpassed by USA, Canada, Australia, UK and Sweden.
Denmark takes an overall third place in the Entrepreneurial Abilities sub-index, ranking top on opportunity start-up, human capital and competition as well as on product innovation. Denmark is moreover praised for its technology absorption.
The purpose of the GEI is to measure the quality and scale of the entrepreneurial process in 130 countries around the world.
The Index also does not focus exclusively on high-growth entrepreneurship; it also considers the characteristics of entrepreneurship that enhance productivity: innovation, market expansion, being growth orientated, and having an international outlook.
