Denmark has become easier to do business in

Last week, the Ministry of Business and Growth published a report which shows that efforts to reduce administrative burdens for businesses have been reduced since 2011.

The report shows that the government at the moment has committed to launching 165 initiatives from the Business Forum for Simpler Rules. 60 of the proposals from the Business Forum have already been launched. For example, the government has made it easier for 63,000 companies to declare VAT and thus saved the companies expenses amounting to nearly EUR 66 million.

“With the 2014 growth plan, we will launch a number of the proposals from Business Forum for Simpler Rules, and we will consolidate the Business Forum in the future. The goal is to remove burdensome cost regulations which amount to nearly EUR 268 billion towards 2020”, says Henrik Sass Larsen, Minister for Business and Growth.
