Location and infrastructure
Copenhagen Airport is investing DKK 250 million in rebuilding in order to ensure space for more passengers and to make the airport a World Class Hub.
“We expect more growth in the coming years, and for that reason we will start rebuilding now”, says Christian Poulsen, Technical Director at
In January, the airport announced its Expanding CPH vision which states that in the course of the next two to three decades, the airport will have capacity for 40 million passengers each year. That is almost twice as many as the 24.1 million who travelled through the airport last year.
The most attractive hub
Thomas Woldbye, Director at Copenhagen Airport, states that the rebuilding is yet another visible and very specific example of the airport as World Class Hub, and thus becoming the most attractive hub in Northern Europe.
“It is one thing to have a strategy, but another to follow through with it and implement it. The extension of Pier C is a good example of how we execute and implement our World Class Hub strategy”, says Thomas Woldbye.
