Creative and entertainment
Recently, the world's advertising agencies paid tribute to themselves and each other in Cannes. At the advertising industry's own World Championship, three Danish campaigns reaped honours and a Danish director was added to exclusive list.
The agency Robert/Boisen & Like-minded together with the agency Radius won a silver lion in the category PR. The award was given for Spies’ movie "Solar Charging Dummies".
Moreover, the agency Lead Agency and Jangaard, Mark & Ko. won a bronze lion for the campaign "Speak Properly" for the phone company Call Me.
New Director's Showcase
One of the Cannes festival's oldest and largest draws is New Director's Showcase from Saatchi, which focuses on who the hottest instructor talents in the world are. For only the third time in 23 years, a Danish director was highlighted.
The movie "Han Kjøbenhavn AW12", produced by Spoiled Productions and directed by Casper Balslev, was selected for screening from a list which from the beginning included hundreds of names.
"... It is an über-list consisting of the stars of tomorrow," Thor Jacobsen, producer from Spoiled Productions said immediately after the screening, and added: “To be on the New Director’s Showcase is a victory in itself but also a triumph for Denmark…”
