The Capital Region of Denmark responsible for 78% of business investment in research and development

Recent figures from Statistics Denmark show that companies in the Capital Region of Denmark invested more than 1.4 billion EUR in research and development in 2011. This represents 78 percent of total corporate investment nationwide.
Every company is able to derive benefits from investing in research. It leads to new patents being created, increased employment and export growth. In addition, companies that invest in research and development have an average of 15 percent higher productivity per employee, according to figures from the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation.
