Transporting 23.3 million passengers 2012, an increase of 2.7 per cent compared to 2011, Copenhagen Airport sets a new passenger record.
The international traffic had an increase of 5.3 per cent and a considerable growth rate. The number of passengers to Asia and the US has increased with an impressive 10.2 per cent, and Copenhagen has strengthened its international position as the most important traffic centre in Northern Europe.
A world wide net of international airline connections to and from Copenhagen Airport is critical to attracting international investments, tourists and well-educated employees to Copenhagen. That is why the City of Copenhagen is involved in the project “Copenhagen Connected” which endeavours to increase and optimize airline connections to and from Copenhagen.
