Supplementary training for skilled Danish tradesmen increases their competences in and awareness of green construction
14 Danish construction employees have recently completed a long supplementary course in green building. This takes the total number of skilled green Danish tradesmen to 103.
- It is obvious that both young and experienced tradesmen view this continuing education as an important part of the sector’s future. And we have one of Denmark’s most comprehensive courses, says Cathie Westh, Development Consultant at the Business Center Bornholm.
The course is financed by the EU Social Fund. The next step is to inspire more citizens to take energy consumption into consideration when they are planning to build or renovate. Nearly 12,000 properties will get a free assessment and guidance on their energy usage.
