Danish authorities will ensure future generations better opportunities for employment, prosperity and welfare by investing ambitiously in education, reports the Ministry for Research, Innovation and Education
On 8 May 2012, the Danish government proposed a financial plan for the Danish economy until 2020. A key part of the proposal is to invest substantially in education.
The investments in education are to be financed through reforms.
- We know that education is one of the best guarantees against unemployment, and looking forward, we will increasingly need qualified labour. Meanwhile, a well-educated workforce is decisive if Denmark wants to create and attract jobs…, says Minister for Education, Morten Østergaard.
With the planned reforms, the capacity of the educational institutions can be expanded without influencing the quality of the educations.
