For the fifth time, Copenhagen has been voted "Europe's Best Cruise Port" by a unanimous industry panel at the World Travel Awards in Portugal.
-That Copenhagen is given this award once again – in tough competition with major European ports such as Barcelona, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Stockholm and St. Petersburg – clearly proves that CMP has achieved a unique position in the global cruise industry. I am happy and proud of this acknowledgment," says Arnt Møller Pedersen, cruise responsible in Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP).
He emphasises that Copenhagen in recent years has evolved to be the strongest northern European destination in the industry. In the 2012 season, Copenhagen has set a new record with 376 calls, 840,000 visiting passengers and 230,000 crew members.
-Together with our partners in the Cruise Copenhagen Network, we are dedicated to creating conditions for a pleasant stay in Copenhagen. This award is also a great appreciation of our employees who work hard to reach this objective, says Arnt Møller Pedersen.
It is the fifth time Copenhagen is given the award. CMP also got the prize in 2005, 2008, 2010 and 2011.
