Copenhagen Fashion Week has done it again.
This summer’s fashion week included 5 exhibition fairs, 45 shows and more than 2.700 exhibitors. These achievements place Copenhagen in the absolute international fashion elite that already counts cities like New York, Berlin and Milan.
- This is an extraordinary development for us and a quality stamp of Copenhagen as a fashion city, says Anne Christine Persson, Development Director for Copenhagen Fashion Week.
This season’s show calendar demonstrated well-established Danish brands such as Designers Remix, Bruuns Bazaar and Day Birger et Mikkelsen, as well as upcoming talents, including Freya Dalsjö and Anne Sofie Madsen.
The strong Danish brands Peter Jensen and Wood Wood also returned to Copenhagen, after having toured Berlin and Seoul. International fashion mastodons Adidas and French Connection visited Copenhagen Fashion Week, too.
- Many fashion companies find the Danish market appealing right now. The market is well funded, and Copenhagen Fashion Week is a platform that attracts purchasers from all the Nordic countries, elaborates Anne Christine Persson.
