Chinese choose Denmark
09 January 2012
The propensity of China to invest in Denmark is increasing, writes the Information daily newspaper
A group of Chinese firms have set their sights on Denmark and are currently in the process of establishing offices here.
- There are roughly 500 enterprises that we are potentially dealing with. It is an alliance of companies that have decided to focus on Denmark, says Pia Olsen Dyhr, Minister for Trade and Investment.
The different companies will present a wide spectrum of Chinese competencies including shipping, real estate, electronics and clothing.
- I believe we will see massive numbers of Danish jobs being created as a result of these investments. We do not know yet what the specific potential is, but we are talking about large Chinese firms, concludes Pia Olsen Dyhr.
