COPENHAGEN COOKING –READY TO GO

It is the fifth time that the Copenhagen Cooking festival takes place and the programme includes both classic and new initiatives. Since the beginning, a major attraction has been the "Taste of Copenhagen". This event offers gourmet food at reduced prices on a number of Copenhagen's best restaurants, including several Michelin restaurants. There will definitely be a great demand for tickets, when they are put on sale at BilletNet on 11 August.

A new initiative is "A Bite of Copenhagen", where a handful of the city's best restaurants serve a menu where the quality is high and the price is low: three dishes for DKK 195! These restaurants include Ebisu at Custom House and SALT restaurant & bar. Tickets can be reserved at the restaurants now.

Another of last year's more popular events was the taste sampling at Skuespilhuset. This year 11 of the best restaurants from Denmark and Malmö participates with tastings created from the season's finest ingredients. Tickets can be purchased now at BilletNet.

- Copenhagen Cooking satisfies not only the taste buds through food. This year there are several events that focus on beverages. For example, one can participate in the crowning of Copenhagen's official cocktail - a "Copenhagen", join the competition to become the Carlsberg champion in blind tasting of more than 500 beers from around the world or go to the coffee tasting at Contra Coffee, Thomas Meier Lorenzen, Senior Project Manager at Wonderful Copenhagen, says.
