INFINITE TO KEEP DENMARK AT THE FOREFRONT OF IT KNOWLEDGE
Apr. 14, 2010 | Topic: ICT and high tech industriesIf you know something, and I know something else, then together, we know more. That is the concept behind a new network, which is to keep Denmark at the forefront of IT knowledge.
An innovation network for Danish IT has emerged with a budget of 20 million DKK over four years, Børsen writes.
"The potential of putting the skills of both researchers and businesses to better use is huge. We invite all researchers and companies working with or using IT in daily life to increased cooperation and exchange of knowledge," says director of the new network named Infinite, Professor Kim Guldstrand Larsen from Aalborg University.
The network creates a knowledge and development platform for the benefit of the business community to ensure that Denmark will be one of the leading IT nations in five years, he adds.
The Research and Innovation Agency has provided the funding for the new network, but participants are also required to assist with the funding.
Infinite is operated by a consortium of CISS / Aalborg University, Alexandra Institute, DTU Informatics / Danish Technical University, Computer Science / University of Aarhus, Knowledge Lab / University of Southern Denmark, Centre for Software Innovation in Sønderborg and IT University of Copenhagen.
