CLIMATE RALLY WITH GLOBAL HOTSHOTS IN COPENHAGEN
On Sunday, some of the world’s leading company executives are to meet in Copenhagen accompanied by political top names and a queen for the largest international summit on climate that business community has seen so far.
At World Business Summit on Climate Change in Copenhagen, top executives and politicians will provide recommendations on climate solutions for the politicians at the UN’s climate summit in December.
700 leading business people from more than 30 countries will meet this Sunday in Bella Center, Copenhagen, at one of largest international summits regarding climate changes so far. Among the hot names is one of the world’s most powerful women, PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi, and managing director from Unilever, Paul Polman. The events also include top politicians, such as the executive secretary of the UN Ban Ki-moon, Danish minister of climate Connie Hedegaard, former US vice-president Al Gore and the queen of Denmark, Queen Margrethe II.
The executives are to attend 19 sessions and workshops in Copenhagen during 3 days, and come up with specific suggestions on how to fight climate changes and how to manage the future climate economy development. The proposals are to be finalized on May 26 for utilization at COP15 in Copenhagen in December.
More than one hundred different international media such as CNN, Bloomberg, Financial Times and BusinesWeek are supposed to cover the event, writes Berlingske Tidende.
