EU EXPECTS LOWER DANISH UNEMPLOYMENT

Despite the currently high number of unemployed, the European Union has comforting praises to the Danish citizens without a job.

According to the economic forecast it prepares every 6 months, the EU expects the Danish unemployment to drop to 6.3 percent in 2011 and to 5.3 percent in 2012.

In the report, the EU states that “the flexible Danish labour market and the active policies concerning availability are anticipated to limit the risk of long-term and structural unemployment.”

If this forecast proves to be true, Denmark will be among the five European countries with the lowest unemployment rate in 2012.
