The Øresund Region covers an area of 20,859 square kilometres. It  has a combined population of 3.6 million people and generates a quarter of the total GDP of Sweden and Denmark. The central location makes it a gateway to the Nordic markets, and companies located in the region also enjoy close proximity to the Baltic States and to the markets of northern Germany and Poland.

The infrastructure is highly developed and efficient. Copenhagen Airport, with more than 130 direct destinations, is an international hub. The Øresund Region is geared for global competition and combines the very best of Sweden and Denmark within research, industry and innovation.
