30-05-2006
Location and infrastructure:
“Continental is pleased to add Copenhagen to the company’s extensive transatlantic route network,” states Continental’s Jim Summerford, Vice President Europe, in a press release.” We are offering Danish passengers a service that no other company can match: a non-stop service to Newark, where Continental as the only major airline companies has a New York hub. From here there are connections to more than 230 cities throughout North America, South America and the Caribbean.”
“New York is a very important destination from Copenhagen Airport. With Continental’s new route, Danish and Swedish passengers will have more possibilities than ever before to fly to New York and from there to other destinations throughout the United States. At the same time, the route is a great asset to Copenhagen and the Øresund Region, which are experiencing an increasing interest from American tourists and business people,” says managing director of Copenhagen Airports, Niels Boserup in the same press release.
