Denmark is one of the countries in which Westerners prefer to live if they are to be posted abroad.

Denmark ranks second only to Switzerland as the foreign country in which Westerners most prefer to work when posted abroad.

Among US citizens Canada is the favourite country, although here too Denmark ranks second.

These are the results of a survey carried out by ECA International, a consultancy company acting on behalf of multinational companies, writes the news agency Ritzau.

According to ECA, important factors include climate, social network, health conditions, infrastructure, education and low crime rate.

Among the countries and cities preferred by Asians, Denmark and Copenhagen rank seventh.
