Schwarz Pharma develops and sells innovative neurological drugs, and in connection with the launch of a new drug to combat Parkinson’s disease Schwarz Pharma is establishing its Copenhagen operation.

Through one of Copenhagen Capacity’s agents in Germany contact was established to Schwarz Pharma, and Copenhagen Capacity assisted the company with various market analyses as well as information about Medicon Valley and Danish labour conditions, and not least with input about a Scandinavian set-up.

Schwarz Pharma has chosen to establish sales companies in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland as a first step in its expansion in the Nordic region. The company, which is represented in more than 50 countries, employs 4,000 persons globally and has an annual turnover of almost EUR 1 billion. Initially, Schwarz Pharma expects to appoint two staff in Copenhagen.
