Denmark ranks near top in terms of countries’ innovation abilities globally, concludes the World Investment Report from the UN’s Organisation for Trade and Development, UNCTAD, as reported in Børsen.

In the report, UNCTAD focuses on countries’ innovation abilities and places Denmark in sixth position globally, behind countries such as Sweden, Finland and the USA, but ahead of Norway, the Netherlands and Germany.

The innovation index is based on a technology index and a population knowledge index.

Denmark recently ranked fourth in the World Economic Forum’s World Competitiveness Index and the rankings in UNCTAD’s country innovation index generally follow the same pattern.
