Broadcom opens European centre in Copenhagen

IT and high tech industries:California-based Broadcom Corporation, a provider of wired and
wireless broadband communications semiconductors, has established a
new design centre in Copenhagen, writes newsletter IPAWorld.
The centre will develop technology for Broadcom's Mobile &
Wireless Group, including handsets that will feature 2G and 3G
cellular and Bluetooth(R) technologies as well as mobile multimedia
capabilities.
The Copenhagen design centre is the first wireless design centre
established by Broadcom in Europe. Broadcom says it selected the
Copenhagen location based on its proximity to a number of leading
cellular equipment manufacturers.
Broadcom, headquartered in Irvince, California, is one of the
world's largest fabless semiconductor companies, with annual
revenue of more than USD 2 billion.
