Dutch company Vodisys to open sales office in Copenhagen.

A new export drive by Dutch IT company Vodisys is focused firmly on Denmark. Following great success on the domestic Dutch market, Vodisys - which develops software for use by clinical dieticians and others in the health sector - is now seeking to expand internationally.

And according to clinical dietician and Vodisys’ project manager Charlotte Bosma, the company has identified a largely undeveloped market in Denmark.

“Vodisys can provide a complete software solution that supports up to 90% of the tasks of clinical dieticians, including electronic medical records, dietary related calculations, planning and several other features for use in consultations. Combined with other programs, it can also be used to communicate with patients via video and SMS. Danish dieticians do not have these possibilities today and our preliminary market studies show that there is great interest,” explains Charlotte Bosma. Together with two local staff, she is to establish an office in Copenhagen.

Opens 1 May
It was almost by accident that Vodisys got its eye on Denmark. The company’s general manager took part in an event hosted by the local chamber of commerce, where he became aware of the excellent opportunities afforded by the Danish market.

Vodisys then received invaluable assistance from Copenhagen Capacity, who arranged visit programmes, prepared analyses and established contacts to industry associations.

Vodisys’ Danish subsidiary opens on 1 May. Initially the company will employ a salesperson and a clinical dietician for support and help line. Over time, the plan is to expand and also focus on the markets in Sweden and Norway.

In the Netherlands, Vodisys has approximately 25 employees. The company has existed for about ten years ago and cooperates with the Dutch Olympic Committee, Unilever and others.
