Transport
Frederikssund has a fast and direct route to Copenhagen city centre by the S-train. Regional busses connect Frederikssund with Roskilde and Hillerød on road 53 and 6 through the municipality to Hillerød or south towards Roskilde and Holbæk. Frederikssundvej is the direct road to Copenhagen city centre.
Frederikssund actively participates in the work of establishing a motorway next to Frederikssundsvej which will mean an even faster route to Ballerup and Copenhagen. The first stage has already been approved. Another large traffic project is a new connection across Roskilde Fjord to ensure fast access to the motorway, the S-train and to Horns herred.
