Denmark is the best place in the world to do business
30-04-2008

Business conditions:

If you want your business to be successful you will succeed in Denmark, says international analysis.

The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) has this conclusion in its latest analysis of the global business climate. The analysis is based on feed-back from approximately 650 analysts and is considered the most in-depth analysis of its kind.

The EIU’s ranking mentions the most efficient country for companies to operate their businesses in the next five years. And Denmark has improved its leading position, which we had in 2005 for the first time, as we have won seven out of ten categories.

The categories are: infrastructure, macro economic stability and political initiatives directed towards private entrepreneurs.

The analysis emphasises the political stability in Denmark as well as the special flexicurity model in the labour market. The trinity, flexibility, security and active labour market policy is a great success, which has been copied by other European countries.

The EIU analysis includes 82 countries, which are handling approximately 98 per cent of the global production. The second ranking includes Finland followed by Singapore, Canada and Switzerland.
