A large number of Danes will walk on the red carpet in Cannes at the annual MIPIM convention – the world’s major estate exhibition.
Press release

No less than 750 representatives from over 100 companies, counting contractors, consulting engineers, auditors and law firms will be ready at the French Riviera to place Copenhagen on the map during 4 days in what has become the world’s leading exhibition for marketing and investment in large cities.
- MIPIM has developed into a meeting place for the entire industry. Consequently it is important for us to be there. We are looking for both investors to invest in the Danish market and other interesting places in which we can expand our business, says Rental Housing Manager Johan Stoustrup from Sjælsø Gruppen.
Together with 11 other companies Sjælsø Gruppen has joined forces with Copenhagen Capacity – the Danish Capital Region’s official Inward Investment Agency – about a 200 m² stand at the fair. At the stand will be interactive show screens and a relaxing lounge area where a chef will serve Danish specialities.
- You need volume to attract the major interested parties. They would not spot us if we were at a small stand in the corner at the back. Therefore we think it is fine to join forces with other Danish companies even though they may be our competitors. Those interested in the Danish market will search the entire market anyway before they establish a business so our philosophy is that it is better they notice us all than none of us, says Johan Stoustrup.
Apart from Sjælsø Gruppen and Copenhagen Capacity the following companies are behind the partnership at the stand: Arealudviklingsselskabet, Carlsberg Ejendomme, Colliers Hans Vestergaard, Copenhagen Airport, Landic Properties, NCC Property Development Denmark, Property Group, Schaumann, Skanska Øresund, smith hammer lassen and Øresundsbro Konsortiet.
Moreover, 60 other sponsors have put money into the project.
- It is unique to have so many representatives from Danish companies. More than 26,000 guests from 83 different countries will be present so it is obvious that the more persons we are the better we can help globalising the real estate sector in Denmark, says Marketing Manager Jacob Saxild from Copenhagen Capacity.
The theme behind the marketing of the Capital Region is that here you can have both favourable business terms as well as a high quality of living.
It is the 13th consecutive year that Copenhagen Capacity is marketing the Capital Region at MIPIM.
