More passengers in Copenhagen Airport
27-02-2008
Location and infrastructure:
With 21.4 million passengers in 2007 – or 2.5 per cent more than the previous year – Copenhagen Airport had a record-high year and is expecting a further growth rate of 2-4 per cent this year.
We made operational investments after the summer of 2006 and came successfully through the summer of 2007. However, we are not quite satisfied with the present service level and will invest significantly during 2008 in order to improve our service, says General Manager Brian Petersen from Copenhagen Airports in connection with the presentation of the company’s annual report.
He emphasises that it is a long, uphill struggle continuously to improve the airport’s service, to raise the traffic growth rate and to expand the airport’s activities. This year approximately DKK 1 billion has been set off to improve the passenger facilities. Among other things investments will be made in check-in facilities, gates and aircraft stands, baggage facilities and security, writes Berlingske Tidende.
