The Danish initiative Copenmind recently revealed the programme of the conference which in the autumn is to result in Copenhagen being a global market place for knowledge and technology within energy and environment technology, also called cleantech.
The ideas man behind Copenmind Steffen Moldow’s ambition is to link researchers and business life, writes Børsen Business Daily.
He refers to the fact that Danish and international companies at the conference will have a unique opportunity to shop between the latest technologies from researchers from 100 of the world’s best universities to find inspiration for the development of new products.
The theme of the first Copenmind conference is Cleantech and next year it will be Energy. According to Steffen Moldow it is no coincidence that climate, environment and energy is in focus.
“The global warming makes demands to researchers as well as business life and, moreover, it is obvious to focus on the area prior to the large climate summit in Copenhagen at the end of 2009,” he says.
The Danish export of energy and environment technology has doubled the growth of the entire export of goods during the last 10 years and the energy industry and Denmark’s Export Council estimates that the export of energy and environment technology will have surpassed EUR 25 billion in 2020.
