New venture company in the making

Finance:
A new Danish venture company is in the making. The company is named Founders Network and the people behind are in the process of raising capital with private investors, banks and companies, writes Børsen Business Daily.
The goal is to raise approximately EUR 30 million for investment in companies which are either too small or at a too early stage for more conventional venture companies. In the long term the company is targeting to have approximately EUR 65 million under administration.
Behind the company is former partner Ulrik Jensen from the venture company Inventure, former vice president Jørgen Thorball from Novozymes, and Ivan Tysted who has experience as a leader and investor in a number of minor companies.
“We expect to start next April. We do not want to concentrate solely on companies worth EUR 30-40 million or more, but also on companies that may become worth EUR 6-12 million if they will have the right investors early,” says Ulrik Jensen.
