Air China Cargo expands its activities at the Copenhagen Airport
08-11-2007
Location and infrastructure:
Air China Cargo has recently extended its schedule with an additional flight, so the company now operates on the Shanghai-Beijing-Copenhagen-Beijing routes four times a week.
Other than increasing the capacity between Europe and Asia, Air China Cargo is also increasing the number of destinations on the route. On two out of four frequencies the company flies from Copenhagen to Manchester and thereafter to Shanghai.
The company will now operate weekly services on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Air China Cargo began operating out of Copenhagen Airport in 2006. Up to May 2007 Copenhagen Airport handled a total of 227,447 tonnes of cargo, an 8.8% increase. The added cargo frequency serves to consolidate Copenhagen Airport's position as Scandinavia's largest air cargo hub.
Apart from Air China Cargo, Chinese company China Cargo Airlines operates out of Copenhagen, flying Shanghai-Copenhagen-Paris-Shanghai three times a week.
