IT and high tech industries:
Top executive Steve Ballmer last Friday visited Denmark to celebrate Microsoft’s acquisition of Navision five years ago. He used this opportunity to emphasise that Microsoft intends to stay in Copenhagen.
Microsoft recently celebrated the acquisition of Danish Navision five years ago.
Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer was the key person at the celebration which was rounded off by a short speech in which he emphasised that Microsoft has come to stay in Vedbæk and that the development centre is and will remain a very important element in Microsoft’s efforts to penetrate even further into the ERP-market, writes Computerworld.
The development centre, officially called Microsoft Development Center Copenhagen, is Microsoft’s largest development centre outside the head office in Redmond.
Almost 900 persons have their daily work at Microsoft in Vedbæk where the ERP-products, which Microsoft acquired with Navision, are being developed.
The products are today called Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) and Microsoft Dynamics AX (Axapta).
